The P:C ratio standard

Photograph the pack.See if it is telling the truth.

LabelTruth reads the label, judges healthy or not, and scores the gap between what the product actually delivers and what the packaging claims — the Product-to-Claim (P:C) ratio — plus a 0-100 trust score and a stated confidence band.

LabelTruth flagged a 'wholesome' cereal we had shipped for a decade. We reformulated before the regulator ever asked.

Our history

From a working group to a scoring standard

LabelTruth grew out of EcoTruth Group's label-truth research.

  1. 2023

EcoTruth Group forms the label-truth working group

A small team of food technologists starts cataloguing the gap between front-of-pack claims and back-of-pack reality.

  2. 2024

The Product-to-Claim (P:C) ratio is defined

The first internal scoring sheet turns claim auditing into a single comparable number between 0.00 and 2.00.

  3. 2025

Trust score and confidence bands added

Scoring is extended with a 0-100 trust score and an explicit confidence band so shoppers know how sure a reading is.

  4. 2026

LabelTruth opens to consumers, devices and the API Program

The scanner ships publicly, the API Program launches, and TechForges signs on as the first hardware client.
